Jonathan Riches
Jonathan Riches is Of Counsel with Holtzman Vogel and focuses his practice litigating in the areas of government, administrative, constitutional, and appellate law. He has briefed and argued cases in multiple federal circuits, state intermediate courts, and state supreme courts.
Jon has developed and authored several pieces of legislation, including landmark reforms in occupational licensing and administrative law.
His work has been covered by national media, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, CBS This Morning, Bloomberg News, and POLITICO.
Previously, Jon served on active duty in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps. While on active duty, he represented hundreds of clients, litigated dozens of court-martial cases, and advised commanders on a vast array of legal issues. He is currently an officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve, where he has held a number of executive and leadership positions.
Jon is an Adjunct Professor at Arizona State University School of Law, where he developed and teaches a course on Public Interest Litigation.
