Former Deputy Counsel to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Joshua Pratt, Joins Holtzman Vogel
Holtzman Vogel Baran Torchinsky & Josefiak PLLC (“Holtzman Vogel) is pleased to announce that Joshua Pratt, former Deputy General Counsel to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, has joined the firm’s Tallahassee office where he will work on litigation and compliance matters.
While at the governor’s office, Josh managed a wide-ranging portfolio including high profile litigation, judicial appointments, and legislative priorities. Prior to working in the Executive Office of the Governor, he served as a law clerk to Judge Sidney A. Fitzwater and Judge Lee Ann Reno of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Before that, he served as a law clerk to Justice Charles T. Canady of the Florida Supreme Court. Josh received his undergraduate and law degrees from Florida State University.
“We are thrilled that Josh has joined us from the Governor’s office and will help to represent our growing roster of national political and regulatory law clients,” stated Jill Holtzman Vogel, managing partner and state senator for Virginia. “His experience is exemplary and we know he will make a great impact immediately.”
Josh’s arrival follows other high-profile hires at Holtzman Vogel as the firm continues to expand its national practice. In 2021, eight attorneys who came from the former Hopping Green & Sams expanded the firm in Tallahassee, Florida. In 2022, the firm opened an office in Phoenix, Arizona.
