North Carolina Supreme Court Reverses Itself In Two Election Law Cases Decided Months Prior

In December 2022, the North Carolina Supreme Court issued opinions in two cases, one involving the state’s voter ID law and the other overturning the latest maps drawn by the state legislature.
Following a change in the partisan makeup of the court, the North Carolina Supreme Court agreed to rehear both cases and released new opinions in both.
