President Trump Pardons Holtzman Vogel Client Andrew Zabavsky
United States President Donald J. Trump has granted a full and unconditional pardon to former Metropolitan Police Department Lieutenant Andrew Zabavsky. Zabavsky was represented by Holtzman Vogel, a nationally recognized law firm specializing in political and regulatory law, commercial litigation, and white-collar investigations.
“Lieutenant Andrew Zabavsky was wrongfully convicted in a case that was clearly politically motivated, and we are deeply grateful for President Trump’s clemency. We hope that this is just the beginning of a wave of correcting cases of egregious overreach by prosecutors across the country and ensuring that justice is truly served,” said Jonathan Fahey, partner at Holtzman Vogel and lead attorney on the matter. “Holtzman Vogel is thankful for President’s Trump swift and decisive action regarding this important matter.”
Lieutenant Zabavsky was one of two officers unjustly convicted of charges related to the death of Karon Hylton-Brown. Lieutenant Zabavsky had been charged with conspiracy and obstruction of justice after an alleged gang member evading police drove erratically into oncoming traffic, crashed into a vehicle, and died.
The Holtzman Vogel team representing Lieutenant Zabavsky was led by Jonathan Fahey and included Ed Wenger and Erielle Davidson.
