2022 State Primary Election Days, Ballot Qualifying and Filing Deadlines

Through November 8, 2022, candidates for public office – and in some cases, their donors and vendors – face a series of rolling deadlines related to everything from campaign finance filings to ballot qualifying deadlines to petition signatures to financial disclosures. Many of those deadlines are aligned, in some way, to the date of the primary election in the state where the candidate is running for office. For your reference, we have compiled a chart of the state primary deadlines and qualifying dates for all 50 states and the American territories. We will continue to keep this updated throughout the year should these dates be modified by state laws.
