Holtzman Vogel Announces the Addition of New Partner Ed Wenger and Senior Associate John Cycon

Holtzman Vogel Baran Torchinsky & Josefiak PLLC, a top political law practice based in Washington, D.C., is pleased to announce the addition to the firm of Ed Wenger as Partner and John Cycon as Senior Associate.

Ed Wenger’s practice focuses primarily on appellate litigation, critical motions practice, constitutional law, and trial practice. With over ten years of experience, Ed has presented oral argument before multiple federal and state appellate and trial courts. Prior to joining Holtzman Vogel, Ed twice represented Former Attorney General Edwin Meese III as an amicus curiae in cases pending before the Supreme Court of the United States. He also represented Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Florida Secretary of State Laurel M. Lee, and the Florida House of Representatives in a variety of cases. Before returning to private practice, Ed served as Florida’s Chief Deputy Solicitor General and as General Counsel to the West Virginia Attorney General.  Ed began his legal career with a clerkship on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and later clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.  Ed earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he was awarded the Order of the Coif.

John Cycon joins the firm after working as a Senior Associate at a large firm in New York City and the District of Columbia, where he represented companies, boards of directors, and individuals in various high stakes enforcement and litigation matters. During that time, he assisted clients to successfully resolve cases with the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and Commodity Futures Trading Commissions, as well as in civil lawsuits in state and federal courts. He earned his J.D. with Distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law.
