Gineen Bresso is Of Counsel at Holtzman Vogel, PLLC where her practice focuses on election law, campaign finance, non-profit organizations, ethics compliance, and administrative law.
Prior to joining the firm, Gineen served as general counsel to the White House Office of Administration where she advised senior government officials on a broad range of administrative law matters and executive branch ethics rules.
Prior to joining the Administration, Gineen served as general counsel to the 58th Presidential Inaugural Committee and counsel to the Committee on Arrangements for the 2016 Republican National Convention where she advised the committees on all aspects of political law, corporate governance and compliance, contract law, and intellectual property matters. Gineen previously served as vice president of special projects and general counsel for The Wasie Foundation.
Gineen was nominated by President George W. Bush in 2008, and confirmed in the U.S. Senate by unanimous consent, to serve as a member of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. She served as Chair of the Commission in 2009. Gineen previously served as the director of legislative operations and counsel to the Committee on House Administration of the U.S. House of Representatives where she focused on election law and administration, campaign finance, and election contests and recounts. Earlier in her career, she served as policy advisor to Governor of Maryland, Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr., and attorney-advisor at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Gineen began her legal career serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Arrie W. Davis of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.
Gineen graduated with honors from Western New England University School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is a member of the Florida Bar, the Maryland Bar, the Minnesota Bar and the New York Bar.
