John Cycon is a Partner at Holtzman Vogel who focuses his practice on commercial litigation, regulatory and internal investigations, constitutional law, and white-collar defense. He represents companies, boards of directors, and individuals in high-stakes enforcement and litigation, and he is adept at navigating clients through complex discovery.

Although John has succeeded in cases throughout various federal and state courts, clients appreciate his ability to resolve issues before they become public. Whether it’s an enforcement inquiry with front-page implications or a third-party subpoena involving sensitive information, he consistently finds ways to help clients conclude the matter efficiently and amicably. John also regularly advises clients on their policies, procedures, and compliance programs.

Prior to joining the firm, John was an attorney at a large firm in New York and the District of Columbia, where he worked on investigations and litigation involving complex financial transactions. In law school, he clerked at the U.S. Attorney’s office for over two years and worked at a national health policy think tank. Before that, John was New York City Teaching Fellow, where he taught special education students in a high needs school.
